This class continues to introduce new Ballet vocabulary and concepts, such as musicality, timing, memory, posture and body alignment.  Beginner barre' work and center progressions are introduced to the class, as well as a beginner's tap curriculum that works on foot isolations and sounds recognition.  At this point we also introduce the dancer to the art of Jazz dance with emphasis on technique and skills.

Level's 5, 6, & 7 progress one after another pretty intensely.  It is at these levels that the majority of material in a dancer's career is learned, so it's required that they attend at least 2 days a week during the year to progress and move up.  We instill the importance of proper body alignment and performing each step correctly.  They start learning the buildng blocks of Lyrical and Modern dance, while continuing their education in Pointe, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and dancers conditioning (Yoga/Pilates).

This class focuses on Pom steps and technique.  Sharp precise movements that focus on arm positions and formation changes as well as center combination work.  Leaps, turns and skills that are used specifically for dance teams will be introduced.  Take this class to prepare you for your schools Pom Dance Team!
